Yorktown, NY

The Town of Yorktown is a wonderful community located in Northern Westchester County.The town is comprised of five business hamlets; Jefferson Valley, Shrub Oak, Mohegan Lake, Crompond and Yorktown Heights.The town is over 40 square miles and located just 35 miles from New York City. The Taconic State Parkway makes access to Yorktown easy!

Yorktown is home to over 1400 acres of town and state parks, which include five miles of the 22 mile North County Trailway, a bike and pedestrian path.It is home to Teatown Lake Reservation, one the county’s largest nature preserves, and also the Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park. The County owned 18 hole Mohansic Public Golf Course is also located here.

Teatown Reservation

Four public school districts service the town of Yorktown. The Yorktown Central School District., Ossining Union Free School District, Lakeland Central School District, and Croton Harmon School District. The Yorktown Central School District offers after school care through the Enrichment Center.The Yorktown Recreation Department offers an extensive list of activities for all ages. You can even find the 600 seat Yorktown Professional Theatre Company!
